SSFPH’s Team GorJess and weeks of preparation for a significant occasion. From shirts to tarpaulins, cakes and birthday decors; just because our main purpose is to celebrate this special day with S♥NES. Here’s a wrap-up of what happened that day.

Cucumbers, lemons, melons, and watermelons – you wouldn’t find any of these wretched things (or at least for our Ice Princess) in Don Day Korean Restaurant last Saturday, April 16, as we celebrated the 22nd birthday (23rd assuming you’re counting the Korean way) of our beloved Ice Princess, Jessica Jung.

The celebration kicked off as early as 3:00PM. Jessica-related freebies were given to the earliest 40 comers. The restaurant was decorated with spazz-worthy Jessica tarpaulins, pink heart balloons, and the main attraction: the “Sica Yeoshinnim* Shrine” – simply put, a coffee table ladden with drool-worthy Jessica goodies.

And what birthday celebration would be complete without a birthday cake?

Just before the celebration ended, prizes including file folders, stickers, official photos, posters, star cards and a rare Jessica star card, were raffled and given away, making sure that everyone present, even with different SNSD biases, all became GorJess even for a day.

“Sweet Delight” – Jessica Jung

Soshified Philippines will be holding a fund raising project to help children suffering from cleft lips and cleft palates in behalf of SNSD’s Jessica Jung for her birthday. Just like how Jessica puts a smile on our faces, we would like to put a smile on these children’s faces and give them a new life.

All proceeds will be donated to Operation Smile (http://www.operationsmile.org/). Operation Smile mobilizes a world of generous hearts to heal children’s smiles and transform lives across the globe. Operation Smile’s network of volunteers works worldwide to repair childhood facial deformities including cleft lips and cleft palates.

We hope you’ll help us bring hope and new smiles to children suffering from facial deformities.

During the LA Meet Up that we had at the beginning of January, SONEs were asked to tweet http://twitter.com/smentusa their wishes from Girls’ Generation and three lucky winners’ wishes were going to be chosen and granted. The first wish has been granted! It was a wish from Andrew Chi, one of our staff members. He wished that Girls’ Generation would wish Soshified a ‘Happy Birthday’!

(Tiffany wrote “Happy Birthday Soshified” on the top left corner; Each girl had their signatures on it and some left little personal messages like ‘Tae yeon loves Soshified’ or ‘You know what?! I <3 Soshified!! xxoo <3′ from Sunny, and then Tiffany finished off the lower right corner with a message that reads “Hey Soshified, Glad we can wish you a Happy Birthday~ thank you for your love & support all the time.. looking forward to the future & praying for all the happy times to come.. Soshified representatives here in the Philippines were invited by local cable music channel MYX last January 13 on ABS-CBN’s studio 9 to present So Nyuh Shi Dae (SNSD)-related stuff. Aside from showing off SNSD merchandise, selected SSFPH members were also interviewed regarding Soshified and SNSD for a segment on the show, Asia MYX.

A Hoot album poster headlined the combined collections of SSFPH. Among the items laid out were SNSD’s mini-albums in their Korean and Japanese versions (Genie, Gee, and Hoot), older releases like Oh! and Run Devil Run, Girls Generation: A New Beginning DVD and the recent Into the New World (ITNW) concert album. Paper products in the collection include a thick 3-ringed binder for Star Cards, the Thsutleo and Tokyo photo books, a copy of Cosmopolitan Korea’s 10th anniversary issue and the 2011 calendar. Apparel like a SPAO shirt, the Beyond 9 hoodie, and a shirt from an ITNW concert was also featured.

A panel composed of selected SSFPH members was interviewed by MYX staff regarding Soshified and their feelings toward SNSD. The panel was led by Greg Martin Hermosa (Soshified moderator and de facto SSFPH leader), Obe (SSFPH Staff), Chris Saplala (famous for his pink lightsabers and major SNSD items), and Tza Gomez (cover group Cloud Nine’s Yuri). Some of the questions asked of them were their SNSD biases, messages to the group and their most prized possession on their collection.

After the interview, SSFPH members jumped into the Asia MYX set and took group pictures with the Soshified collection. Spazzing ensued after, as cover group BEST took their turn for the taping.

Thanks to MYX for inviting SSFPH in their studio! The Soshified segment airs on Asia MYX on January 24, 2011 at 8:00PM. MYX airs on channel 23 on SKY Cable.

Please stop asking, or posting rumors regarding SNSD’s concert here in the Philippines. As of now, there’s no OFFICIAL announcement from SME whether the girls will hold the said event here. Still, let’s keep our hopes high for this year and save up money just in case.

Although it is very likely that a concert will be held on that date, there’s still no official statement from SM entertainment or any organizers in the Philippines. It is better that you just save money for VIP tickets in case that this rumor be true.

30 people and a month of planning was committed to this event which started early november. We teased you with images about this event at that time to which most of you got it right. smart kids..sadly, still no SNSD concert. hah!

Last December 5 at the very spacious Megatrade Hall in SM Megamall, Soshified’s 2nd Philippine Gathering took place. Of course, this day was special because it was also Yuri’s birthday. There were attendees that came as early as 8:00am, 2 hours before the appointed registration time, because of the few prizes early birds might get.

The event was fired off by performances and games, all of which enjoyed by the attendees and the participants. Spazzing was felt all around as everyone cheered on performances. Of course, fanchants were also present when songs of our lovely 9 girls were heard.
